Voice over: donations and chat read out loud

Neural voices in 31 languages, synthesized on your own machine — no internet, no subscription and no character limit. You decide what is worth reading, and a panel tile silences anything that should not have been.

Free — like everything that runs on your own PC.

Press them — the buttons here actually work.

Rules decide what is worth reading, a queue keeps a burst of donations from talking over itself, and two buttons stop the one line you would rather the stream had not heard.

Why local matters here

Cloud voice over is billed per character and stops working when the service is down or the plan runs out. This one is a file on your disk.

What gets read, and what does not

The rules are the whole point. Reading everything is unbearable within twenty minutes.

Stopping it mid-word

Sooner or later a viewer sends something you would rather the stream did not hear. That is what the panel tile is for.

How the parts split up

The synthesis itself lives in the core; this module only decides what and when. The split is deliberate — several modules need a voice, but the rules for when to stay quiet are different for every streamer.

What it is made of

Each part is a separate module: you install only the ones you need, and any of them can be removed without breaking the rest.

Voice Over Decides what to read, builds the phrase and keeps the queue.
Voice Over Desk tile Current line, queue, skip and stop.

Getting started

  1. Open Voice → Voice over and download the voice pack.
  2. Set what should be read and from what amount.
  3. Check the volume once — the app plays through your usual output device.
  4. Put the desk tile on the control panel, within reach.
