Windows will warn about the publisher

strAImer is not signed with a publisher certificate yet, so Windows shows a warning when you run the installer: click «More info» and then «Run anyway». The checksum below lets you verify the file you downloaded is exactly the one published here.

SHA-256 of the installer: 27f8313f3b4408905a6c75b9bfa7a28018d85993e4b49c7f410e3a091b1e5eae

If Windows blocks the installer completely

On a computer where Windows 11 was installed from scratch, a feature called Smart App Control may block the installer outright — no «Run anyway» button, just «this app has been blocked». It only allows signed apps, and it has no exception list at all: adding the folder to Microsoft Defender changes nothing, and downloading the file again from here will not help either. To install strAImer you have to turn that feature off:

  1. Install all pending Windows updates first (Start → Settings → Windows Update). Older versions of Windows only let you turn this feature off permanently.
  2. Open Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control settings.
  3. Select Off — the page offers On, Evaluation and Off — then run the strAImer installer again.

You can switch it back on later from the same page. Keep in mind that with it on, strAImer will be blocked again — the two cannot run together until the app is signed.

The styling editor no longer saves by itself. Your changes now live until you press Save at the top of the page: try a ready-made look, move the sliders, and if you do not like it — just leave, and everything stays as it was. Leaving with unsaved design asks first, both from a widget card and when you switch sections. Every colour now has a transparency slider, borders included, and the picker gained a row of your own colours that recent ones cannot push out. The auction and the carousel can be switched off from their control tile: bids and donations stop coming in and every OBS overlay of the set goes dark, while what has accumulated stays where it is. Donation goals got five text formats and an off switch, a bounds row under the bar, a reset for the collected amount, and a bar that no longer goes blank in OBS.

Styling, made consistent. The three ready-made looks — Neon, Minimal and Retro — now exist in every overlay and use the same colours, fonts and borders, so applying one look everywhere gives a coherent picture. Applying a look also resets what it does not set. The editor itself is even: every slider is the same length, colours are picked in our own picker with a palette of recent ones shared across the whole app, and border style, text case and font weight read as words instead of CSS codes. The Ticker widget became Lists: a list runs as a line or stands as a column, and its content can be top donors for a period or the cards your carousel can drop instead of text you type. A completed challenge and a dropped wheel lot now flash a live electric border. Donation goals and chat overlays became lists you can create several of, and goals gained a pause.

A small change for troubleshooting. The log now records which server the voice pack is downloading from. Nothing looks different on screen — but if a download is ever slow or fails, the log answers "from where", and not only "did it finish".

The voice pack now downloads from our own server. Until now it came straight from the model's own host, which is unreliable in some countries — and a voice pack you cannot download is a voice pack you do not have. Those 384 MB now come from straimer.com. If it is our server having a bad day instead, the download falls back to the original host on its own. Every file is still checked by size and checksum before anything is installed, whichever server it arrived from.

Voice-over now shows the licence terms before it downloads the voice pack. The voices come from a third-party model published under an open licence, and that licence forbids things that are entirely possible on a stream: pretending to be a real person, or passing synthesised speech off as a real recording. "Download voices" now opens a short screen naming the model, its licence and those limits, with the full text one click away. The screen itself lives in the Voice Over module — update it from the catalogue to see it. This release is what lets it name the model at all. Nothing else changed.
