Smart plugs on stream
A viewer buys a reward and the lamp in your room turns on for ten seconds. The command goes straight to the plug over your home network, with no cloud account in between.
Free — like everything that runs on your own PC.
No cloud, no account
Most smart home integrations route a button press through a manufacturer’s server on another continent. This one talks to the device on your own network.
- The command goes straight to the plug by its address in the home network.
- Nothing to register and nothing to stay logged in to; it works with the internet down.
- The delay is what a local network gives you, not what a round trip across the world does.
Which plugs work
The generation is worked out automatically during the search: the device answers a status request without a password and says what it is.
- First generation — Shelly Plug S, Shelly 1, Shelly 2.5 and their relatives.
- Second and third — Shelly Plus Plug S, Plug S Gen3, Plus 1.
- A plug found by the “search for plugs” button arrives already knowing its own generation; nothing to pick from a list.
This module knows nothing about money
It is deliberately narrow: it switches a plug and reports whether it worked. The rule “a donation turns on the lamp” lives in Scenarios.
- Switch on for a set number of seconds and the plug goes back by itself.
- The trigger — a reward, a donation, a panel button — is chosen in Scenarios, not here.
- That split is what lets the same plug serve several different rules without any of them knowing about the others.
What it is made of
Each part is a separate module: you install only the ones you need, and any of them can be removed without breaking the rest.
Getting started
- Put the Shelly plug on the same network as your computer.
- Press “search for plugs” in Devices → Shelly, or add one by its address.
- Check it switches from the module page.
- Bind it to a reward or a scenario.
Only plug in things that are safe to switch on remotely while you are not looking at them. The app will do exactly what a viewer paid for, including at four in the morning.
