Auction wheel

What this page is

Auction wheel prepares the OBS overlay that spins the auction wheel and announces the result. As the hint under the title puts it, "The engine picks the result; this widget only renders the animation. Recommended OBS size: 1280 x 720."

How to set it up

  1. In Link parameters on the left there are three switches, all on to begin with: Sector labels, Result caption and Winner amount. Turning one off writes it into the address under the preview.
  2. Press Copy link in the header and paste the address into an OBS Browser Source. The wheel fills the source, so the size of the source is the size of the wheel.
  3. The Styling card above the section list holds ready-made looks and your own. Open "-- Choose a template --" and take one from Built-inAs before, Bold, Quiet — or from Mine — this overlay and Mine — from other overlays. The line under the list says what Apply will do.
  4. To keep the current look, type a name into Template name in the same card and press Save. Delete removes a saved template of your own. Picking one of your own templates puts its name back into the field and Save reads Update: saving then overwrites that template instead of leaving a second copy behind.
  5. The sections under it are the wheel taken apart: Rim, Sector labels, Pointer, Hub, Result plaque, Winner caption, Result, Amount. Pick one and its fields open on the right.
  6. Rim has Rim background, Width, % of wheel and Glow. Pointer has Fill and Size, % of wheel. Hub has Background, Border, Size, % of wheel and Mark color.
  7. Result plaque is the frame around the announcement: Background, Radius, % of wheel, Padding, % of wheel, Border, Glow and Winner glow — the second one is the pulse the auction winner gets.
  8. Sector labels, Winner caption, Result and Amount each carry Font, Size, % of wheel, Weight, Color and Shadow. Result is the winner's name, Winner caption the line over it, Amount the line under it.
  9. Inside a glow or shadow field there is a checkbox Winning lot colour. Ticked, that layer takes the colour of the sector that came up instead of a fixed colour.
  10. Nothing here has a save button — the note over the preview says "Changes are saved automatically." A source already added to OBS repaints itself.
  11. - and + over the preview zoom it between 50% and 200%. This changes the preview only. Reset appearance in the header drops everything you set by hand and reloads the page with the look that comes from the app theme.
