Stream Status

What this page is

Automation → Stream Status turns the signals from Twitch, YouTube, Kick and OBS into one answer to "is the stream running", which every other module then goes by — the page calls it a "Unified live status: platforms and OBS in one flag for all modules". The same page can send a greeting to chat the moment the stream starts.

How to set it up

1. Open Automation → Stream Status. The card at the top is the current answer: Stream is live, Stream is offline, or No data with the explanation "No source has sent a signal yet". Once a source has spoken, the line underneath reads since and the time the status last changed.
2. The four tiles below are the sources — Twitch, YouTube, Kick, OBS — each with its own state: LIVE, offline, no signal (nothing has arrived from it), or ignored (you have excluded it further down the page).
3. Aggregation Settings → Signal freshness (sec) is how long a source stays trusted after its last signal: "A source silent for longer stops being counted". The field accepts 30 to 600 seconds and starts at 90.
4. Aggregation Settings → Offline delay (sec) is how long the status waits before it admits the stream is over. It "Protects against false "stream ended" on polling hiccups". The field accepts 0 to 1800 seconds and starts at 180.
5. Ignore sources has a checkbox for each of Twitch, YouTube, Kick and OBS. A ticked source stops counting towards the live status — the hint gives the usual reason: "E.g. if OBS sometimes streams to non-platform targets".
6. To greet chat at the start, switch on Send a chat message when the stream starts under Stream-start greeting, then write the text in Message text. The field suggests a tone with its placeholder, "We're live! Welcome everyone 👋".
7. Under the text box is "Click a variable to insert it into the text:" and six chips, each dropped in at the cursor: {game} — "Stream category/game (Twitch, Kick)", {title} — "Stream title (all platforms)", {time} — "Current time", {date} — "Current date", {random:1-100} — "Random number in range", and {choose:a|b|c} — "Random pick from a list". The last two are inserted as written, so edit the range and the list to what you want.
8. The greeting goes out as the hint describes: "Sent to the chat of each platform that goes live (once per stream). OBS has no chat — it's skipped."
9. Press Save in the top right. It covers the whole page — both the aggregation numbers and the greeting — and reports back on itself: Saving…, then Saved or Error. Nothing on this page is stored until you press it.

What it cannot do

• The four sources are fixed. Nothing else can be added to the list, and the platforms themselves are not connected here.
• There is no manual switch. The status card only reports what the sources say — you cannot declare yourself live or force the stream to end from this page.
• The two numbers have hard limits: freshness 30 to 600 seconds, offline delay 0 to 1800.
• One greeting for everybody. There is no separate text per platform, no schedule, and no matching message when the stream ends.
• The greeting fires once per stream, so it cannot be used for repeated announcements.
• OBS never receives the greeting — it has no chat.
• The page keeps no history: past streams, their length and their start times are not listed here.
