Bytey stutters or stays empty

Check in order
- Is hardware acceleration on in OBS? This is the most common cause. Without it OBS draws the 3D robot on the processor, and the dance stutters, starts over and loads the CPU. Turn it on in OBS: Settings → Advanced → Sources, the box Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration, then restart OBS. The guide "Bytey", step 12.
- Is the source empty? Bytey is rendered with WebGL 2, and a browser source without it shows nothing. Turn hardware acceleration on as above, restart OBS and reload the source. If he is still not there, write to support and attach the OBS log.
- Is he asleep? With an empty battery he stands still and does not dance. A donation or the channel point reward chosen in Battery wakes him. To check, press Test donation in Test Mode.
- Does the alert have a sound? An alert with no sound gives him nothing to dance to. The sound is set in the alerts, not in Bytey.
- Clips but no dance? He hears a browser source in OBS only while its Control audio via OBS box is off, or when the source is ticked in What Bytey listens to with the strAImer plugin installed. The guide "Bytey", step 5.
