Bracket overlay

What this page is

Bracket overlay prepares the OBS source that shows the tournament bracket of the auction: who meets whom, who advanced and which match is being played right now. The page builds the link and sets the appearance; the preview in the middle is a sample bracket in the 16:9 proportions of the source.

How to set it up

1. The hint under the title says what the source needs: "Add this URL as an OBS Browser Source. Recommended size: 1280 × 720."
2. In Link parameters on the left there are two switches, both on to begin with. Amounts in boxes shows the amount over the name. Follow the current match keeps the played pair in frame; with it off the source shows the whole tree at once.
3. Press Copy link in the header and paste the address into the Browser Source.
4. The Styling card above the section list holds ready-made looks and your own. Open "-- Choose a template --" and take one from Built-in — Like the panel, Bold, Quiet — or from Mine — this overlay and Mine — from other overlays. The line under the list says what Apply will do; Template name with Save keeps the current look, Delete removes a saved one. Picking one of your own templates puts its name back into the field and Save reads Update: saving then overwrites that template instead of leaving a second copy behind.
5. The sections under it are the bracket taken apart: Source frame, Node box, Title, Amount, Connectors, Current match. Pick one and its fields open on the right.
6. Source frame is the outline around the whole source: Border and Corner radius. Choosing the border style "none" leaves the source without a frame.
7. Node box is one box of the bracket: Background, Radius, Padding, Border, Shadow, plus Width, % of source and Gap, % of source — those two set how large the boxes are and how far apart they stand.
8. Title and Amount are the two lines inside a box: Font, Size, % of the node box, Weight, Color and Shadow each. Their size is a share of the box, so changing the box width carries the text along.
9. Connectors are the lines between boxes: Thickness, Unplayed line color and Opacity, %. A line whose winner is known takes the colour of that lot instead.
10. Current match is the box being played: Border, Glow, and Eliminated opacity, % for the branches that are out.
11. Nothing here has a save button — the note over the preview says "Changes are saved automatically." A source already added to OBS repaints itself. Reset appearance in the header drops everything you set by hand and reloads the page with the look that comes from the app theme.

What it cannot do

• The bracket is not built here. It comes from the Tournament mode of the draw on the Auction page; while there is no bracket the source stays empty and transparent, and the frame goes with it.
• The captions inside the boxes — FINAL, MATCH {n}, "not played yet", "spinning…" — cannot be rewritten. Only their font, size, weight, colour and shadow are yours.
• The source in OBS does not answer the mouse. The bracket is dragged and zoomed on the Control Panel tile, and the source repeats the frame set there.
• A long lot name in a box is cut with an ellipsis — the box does not grow to fit it.
• Nothing is decided or shown ahead of time: while the wheel is spinning the box of that match reads "spinning…", and the result appears when the wheel stops.
