A goose that causes chaos on stream
Remember Desktop Goose, the one that ran around the desktop and annoyed everyone? I want my own little troublemaker for the stream, doesn't necessarily have to be a goose. A viewer sends a specific donation or uses a channel point reward, and for five minutes, a goose runs out from the edge of the screen.
It stomps, honks, leaves footprints, brings a note from the donator, hides behind the overlays, and grabs the chat by the corner to drag it somewhere. It could push and rotate other overlays that the streamer has allowed it to touch. I'd want a variety of pranks, not just the same animation every time it's triggered.
The streamer chooses the duration, volume, and level of chaos. Important elements can be pinned. A follow-up donation extends the time or queues the next appearance, but with a set limit. You can chase the goose away immediately using a hotkey.
When the time is up, the goose leaves, the footprints disappear, and the overlays return to their original positions. It would be great to show the same goose to both the viewers in OBS and the streamer themselves on top of the game.
For dragging overlays, a shared canvas would be useful, and for showing it on top of the game, a separate screen surface. Later on, we could even let it grab and move the crosshair/camera inside the game, control the mouse, or press buttons.
Developer's reply
This idea is linked to two others - a transparent window on top of the game and a shared scene constructor, so implementation is possible, but only in conjunction with them.
