What this page is
Carousel: Challenges is a dashboard tile for running the challenge list during a stream: start and pause the countdowns, correct the numbers, mark things done and add a line of your own. Add it from the dashboard while editing — Edit → Add module → pick it from the list. The list itself, and how it behaves, are set on the Challenges page.
How to set it up
- The tile fills itself as soon as the challenges module is running — there is nothing to switch on and no gear on the header, because it has no settings of its own.
- The line across the top counts the list: In the list, running and done.
- Each row shows the name, what kind of counter it is underneath — counter, timer or percent — and the number on the right in a field you can type over. A row whose countdown has finished adds time is up next to the kind.
- A timer row has a play button; while it counts down the button becomes pause. Rows of counter and percent have no button — they are numbers, not clocks.
- Correcting a number is done in the field, in the form it is shown: "5:30" on a timer is five and a half minutes, "20%" on a percent row is twenty. Click away and it is stored.
- The tick at the end of the row marks the challenge done. The row leaves the list and is filed under Done on the Challenges page.
- The strip at the bottom adds a line by hand: the name, then the amount, then the unit — x for times, min for minutes, % for percent — and the + button. A name that already exists grows instead of making a second line.
- Before anything has arrived the tile reads "Nothing yet — cards that come up will show here".
- A refusal appears as a red strip along the bottom of the tile for a few seconds, with the reason on it.
What it cannot do
- There is no delete on the tile. A line can be marked done, which files it, but removing one outright is done on the Challenges page.
- The list cannot be cleared from here, and the Done history is neither shown nor cleared here.
- Keep finished challenges on screen is not on the tile. That switch lives on the Challenges page and decides what the overlay does with a finished row.
- A countdown never starts by itself, on the tile or anywhere else — a card hands you the minutes, you press play.
- Names cannot be edited, reordered or grouped on the tile; only the number can.
- The tile does not show what the viewers see. That is the Challenge list overlay, a separate Browser Source in OBS.
